GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

  • Films produced after 10th WAC- December 2024 onwards only will be entertained.
  • Films that are already submitted for previous WAC are not allowed.
  • Registration for WAC is mandatory (No separate entry fees for ASFF)
  • The applicant (director) can submit maximum two entries in any category. SPECIFICATION OF THE CATEGORY IS IMPORTANT TO SEGGREGATE THE FILMS IN TO RESPECTIVE CATEGORIES. Separate entry forms are to be filled for each entry.
  • Films produced in languages other than English must be sub-titled in English.
  • Captions and credits must be clear, legible and must be within the safe areas.
  • Organisers….
    1. Will have non-exclusive rights to screen the film entries as and when required for non-commercial screening or travelling versions of the festival and to participate in other national and international festivals in non-competitive categories;
    2. Will have the right to use up to 45 seconds of the film footage for promotional purpose;
    3. Will not be responsible if the film could not be accessed for watching/ downloading,
    4. Reserve the right to reject any entry if found ineligible;
    5. Can change the category of the film without any explanation if the film is not found suitable for the category indicated by the applicant.
  • DVD/pen-drive of films submitted for the festival / competition will be retained by the organisers. (In case of any technical glitch that may arise)
  • The Director of the film will be awarded in any category as specified.
  • It is essential to fill all the columns in the entry form, failing which the entry is liable to be rejected.
  • The award money will be distributed equally between the producer (copyright holder) and the director. The trophy will be awarded to the director and the certificates will be awarded to both, the producer and the director.
  • The organisers will not be responsible for violation of any copyright and intellectual property rights/ plagiarism. In case of such violation is reported at any stage the film entrants will.. a. Have to return the cash prize, trophy and certificate. b. Be barred in future from participating in the Ayurveda Film Festivals of WAC.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Step 1. Please read carefully the terms & conditions of the festival before filling the form.

Step 2. Specify the category and Theme before you complete the form.

Step3. Please fill separate entry form for each film.

Step 4. Candidates have to upload the film on Google Drive and paste the link in the online Short Film Submission form after logging into WAC-Manager at https://ayurworld.org/wac-manager/login (Please ensure that the Google Drive link does not seek permission to open it and General Access of the file must be set to “Anyone with the link”).

Step 5. After the successful submission of your online application form, confirmation email will be sent to the film director’s email id. If the director of the film does not receive the confirmation email it would imply that the form has not been submitted successfully. In this case, please inform us through email.

Step 6. Before filling the form, please keep ready soft copies of

  • Photograph of the Director (jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi and saved as the director’s name)
  • 2 still photographs of the film (jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi and saved as the title of the film)
  • Duly filled Synopsis form in MS word (in prescribed format only)
  • Certificate from the Principal/Director/HOD/ Head of the academy/ institute [Only for the categories ‘Out of the Box’ (college / university / Hospital/ Academy)
  • Printout of the registration form and response page should be carried along by the participant.
  • Pen drive containing:
    1. Copy of the film in mp4 format. The film should be saved as the title of the film.
    2. Synopsis of the film within 250 words in English should be saved as the title of the film.
    3. Script of the film should be saved as the title of the film. Please do not send the hardcopy of the script.
    4. 2 still photographs of the film. The photographs should be saved as the title of the film (in jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi).
    5. One photograph of the director. The photograph should be saved as the name of the director (jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi).
  • Hardcopy of the synopsis of the film in English in the prescribed format.
  • Certificate from the Principal/Director/HOD (Only for the students or the institutional employees)

SELECTION FOR THE AYURVEDA SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

  1. Films under different categories will be evaluated respectively under each category.
  2. A Nomination Jury panel will recommend the films for the final screening and the Award Jury will select the films for Awards. The decisions of the Jury will be final.
  3. The Ayurveda Film Festival will be conducted (tentatively on 11th and/or 12th of December 2026, during the 11th WAC. (In an exclusive auditorium)
  4. There will be screening and scrutiny of the nominated films for the competitions by the nomination jury. However, pre congress workshop or public screenings are not conducted for the event. For Public projection, separate YouTube channel may be created in later period.
  5. One representative from the crew of each nominated film of respective category will be allowed and travelling allowances are not given. Participants can opt for accommodation facility along with the registration for the 11th WAC as per the availability. However the participants bring the companions who are registered for 11th WAC as audience.
  6. If the award is shared by two or more individuals / organisations, the prize amount will be equally shared between the two or more.
  7. Organisers reserve the right to modify the rules and conditions including number and prize money of awards.

2 prizes- 1st and 2nd will be awarded in each category of films namely-

  1. Documentary- Charaka Sampada & Chakrapani Sampada
  2. AI Generated and Animation Films- Sushruta Sampada & Dalhana Sampada
  3. Docu-Drama and Fiction- Patanjali Sampada & Bharata Sampada
  4. Case Reports /Case Series- Vagbhata Sampada & Indu Sampada
  5. Start-up Concepts and Modules- Sharangadhara Sampada & Bhava Prakasha Sampada

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

  • Entry and registration should be done by logging into the WAC-Manager dashboard at https://ayurworld.org/wac-manager/login
  • One applicant (director only) may apply for max 2 entries
  • Please mention the following in the subject column in all Email correspondences – Title of the film, abstract ID and subject for emailing.
  • Films funded or sponsored or non-sponsored are allowed for competition. However, violation of copyrights and plagiarisms are not entertained.
  • Duration for films of any category should be not less than 5 minutes and not exceeding 20 minutes.
  • Teachers, practitioners, PhD scholars, PG scholars, students, research experts, General Public, NRI, Foreign delegates also can participate in the event. The competition is open to all who register for WAC.
  • Last date to submit final copy of the entire film – 30th September 2026
  • After the initial screening, the selected films are notified by email for final screening during WAC
